Whats up peeps, I'm a returning player to EMC and I haven't played since the 1.10/11 update. What's changed on EMC? Anything exciting or major updates? Let me know. Thank you guys and hope to see ya on da craft : )
We got Empires released in the last year! Plus all the vanilla stuff from all the updates up to 1.20.4, I guess 1.21 is going to come soon. Also, I don't know what you would define as "new", as I joined when 1.16 was already out.
Welcome back! Oh gosh, so much has changed since then. Let me go over the highlights: Town chat is now "Community chat" and can be accessed everywhere from every server (e.g. someone in smp9 town can talk to someone in the middle of the smp4 wild). Economy chat is the same way, but is now called "Market chat" with a different color. Tab lists are also shared across servers. The Games server exists now, but is typically only used for events like FireFloor. Survival Update v2 came out with a bunch of new custom mobs and items associated with them. Empires is now out, as was mentioned beforehand. Land claiming is not yet part of that, though. A bunch of other small changes and bug fixes to accommodate new game versions. For example, /res clearnegativedirt was added to automatically perform a DDTT operation on the dirt on a residence between y=-63 and y=0 so that senior staff services wouldn't be overloaded with requests for clearing negative dirt. Those are the main things, but there's also plenty here I'm missing. As you can pretty obviously tell, things are significantly slower than they used to be - at the very highest, there'll be maybe 50 people on at a time. However, those of us who do stay are still playing and having fun.
Hmmm. I recognize you. I think you have been on since 1.16 was out. Maybe confused about which update version you were on last? Regardless, Triphora is correct!

Logging in and walking through the malls is a great way to look at the variety of the new blocks. as far as the mobs and the behavior... yeah. That will take a minute
that's an in-process type of updating, that is still in process.
