Careful: TopG doesn't work right now!

  1. Hi gang!

    (updated story, see comments below)

Today I tried to vote on TopG only to be greeted with the above, that's no good. At first I figured this was just your average SSL certificate warning, when I noticed the domain name at the bottom: sucuri.net.

So I started a private session with Javascript disabled, followed the link and much to my surprise I ended up on a website dedicated to website security.

Now, I don't know what's going on and this doesn't have to mean anythinhg. But even so I think you guys might want to be a little careful around TopG for the time being. Because certificates don't get swapped out "just like that" while also making the entire website unaccessible for modern browsers.
  2. It's been fine for me. But perhaps it's been sorted already, and I voted before this occurred.

  3. Use this site everyday, more then once. Haven't had this issue. Just tried it again and it's fine.

  4. Also tested and it works for me too. It's likely just you or has already been fixed. No need for the mass hysteria title.
  5. Thanks for your comments. Yeah, it's now also once again working normally for me. Guess I still have this weird skill to find myself at places at very specific times.

    (edit)

I really wouldn't describe warning people to be a little careful around a site as calling out for mass hysteria. When it comes to security breaches then you can sometimes never be careful enough.
  6. Any chance the time and date on your computer was not correct? Did you change any security settings in your browser?
SSL (or TSL) is a cryptographic protocol that provide communications security over a computer network, so it's normal that the page you found is about computer security, it is providing the certificate TopG uses for authentification.

  7. I think this was more likely something on your PC hijacked your browser session Shell. Check if any security apps deal with sucuri.

  8. Maybe not related to what Shell is saying, but today has been the 2nd day in a row for me that TOPG is stating i already voted and can vote again in 19 hours or so. The problem is, i didn't vote.. and the time of the vote should be around 3am local time... and i can assure you i am a sleep. Also, no voting for TOPG in my rupee history.

  9. Been happening to me too. Second day as well
  10. This is very concerning. How does one contact TopG?
  11. I have had the issue where I tried to vote, and it advised that I already have. I tried again and still is not working
  12. Safari refuses to open TopG for me on my phone. Chrome on my phone is also unable to locate servers IP address. So there goes my preferred vote premium prize, but I suppose worse things could’ve happened to me lol

  13. They are doing something on TopG. For 2 days I am not able to vote from Turkey and today it redirected me to a page which says "Access from your country was disabled by the administrator"

  14. I've had this issue too. It gives me this error "topg.org’s server IP address could not be found." According to isitdownrightnow.com, it's been down for the past 3 days.
  15. Has not been down for me and I can vote on it
  16. For both me and a friend we got messages that we had already voted although neither of us had. Haven't checked today yet.

    Edit: it works rn
  17. I too have had the same problem, started Tuesday. It's working today. Said the servers DNS could not be found
  18. Been having issues as well. It just simply refuses to load the site for me.
  19. Impossible, fully ruled out. I only posted this after I accessed the site in private mode, meaning that no plugins were active.

  20. Didn't work for me this morning. Haven't tried again though. Will see tomorrow.
