Due to what the other Discord thread turned into, I decided to make an unofficial EMC server. Temp administrator is me That's all. Flaming and hate in this thread will be reported, as always. Link is below.
Joined! One of the first things I said in Discord Chat: " I joined because I wanted to stay close to the EMC community." Which is absolutely the truth! However, I really wanted to mention this: Please be aware that this is UNofficial and chat is not moderated by EMC staff. I was immediately given "staff" status on the server, which is awesome, but like I mentioned, this is an UNofficial server, and whereas I can deal with reports quickly on EMC (having an efficient way of reporting players through Square), I most likely won't / can't deal with players in the same way at all on discord. Furthermore, no one on the UNofficial discord server would be able to report other players on EMC for infractions that happen on discord. I know this is all obvious, but I care about yall, and felt like I should say something as a reminder.
Having already been apart of several different unofficial discords, I'm not going to join this one. Hope it goes well for you.

I see the community teams role in the OP, is that like contrib, build team, stream team? or is that something else?
*cough* I can confirm, I have been trying to get a select few people to move to discord but they don't like changes
Please remember: Mumble remains the official voice communication channel of choice for EMC. The controls over private channels, as well as some background items, are the reason that we remain loyal to the mumble system over discord. This discord channel mentions an UNOFFICIAL channel started by a player and is not hosted or affiliated with the EMC servers. Therefore, as Eviltoade has already stated, communication through this channel will not be moderated at all. If you contact a staff member with regards to communication in this system, no action will be taken. In addition, no official events will be held through this system. The EMC Staff will remain a part of mumble. They may join the unofficial discord channel if they wish, but no one should be given staff status due to their rank on the EMC server, as that holds no weight on an unofficial channel. If you have any questions, please let me know. We do not mind unofficial channels, but we do wish to remind the community that it is in no way affiliated with EMC and should never be treated as such.
