I thought the old one was alright, it's a shame it ended the way it did and I'd prefer it if people could be constructive with their criticism but it is the internet so yeah, it happens... thanks Runder, glad that you like it!
Back to Forge pictures with the old watermark before Rallyday next week! That's when the new watermark comes in to play Nissan Skyline R34 drifting! Mitsubishi Colt on the track with a Mazda RX8 in the background!
Rallyday is nearing closer and closer! More pics from Forge first though! Ford Escort Mk3! Nissan Skyline R34 GTR! I have skipped a couple pictures each time so I can post the best pictures in plenty of time. I know on some older albums we've missed a lot of good photos, like Tankfest, because it is so close to other events! Be sure to look through the Facebook albums if you want to take a look, we may re-visit some old albums over winter when the motorsport season dies down!
Huh, I thought I had commented on the watermark, but something must've distracted me. It might be because it takes some getting used to, but at the moment I think I prefer the old one. I think the new one looks more professional, but what I like about the old one is that you can easily 'ignore' the watermark, while the new one draws more attention towards it. I like how it looks, though. These are just my thoughts at the moment, I thought you might like to hear
Do you think if I made the new one slightly more opaque, it would be a bit better? I need to have a balance between the attention towards it and the quality of the image, though. I still need my security to be in place! Nissan Silvia S14 disappearing in its own smoke... The Saab engined Ford hotrod is back at it again with a new livery!
Almost at an end on the Forge images, but Rallyday is coming up this Saturday This Nissan was proper going for it, it looks great!
Tomorrow is Rallyday! Brand new pictures coming up soon! One last shot of that old Celica... And this rare and certainly interesting old Renault!
What you could consider doing is posting only scaled down versions of the images. For instance, let's say you have a 5184x 3456 resolution image. You could scale a copy of it down to say, half of that, so that it still looks good for general viewing but would not look good at all when printed. This could help you have a less obtrusive watermark for when people just want to glance at a picture, but then you would also have the full resolution image stored if they want to buy the picture. Just a thought, I am not sure that this would work.
Hmm, it is an interesting idea, but even if the image was smaller, someone could still share it on the internet if it still looked good in general too, and they'd only have to print it smaller to make it look better?
Without further ado, the new album with the new watermark... Rallyday 2016! Rallyday, as always provided some great entertainment, but, unfortunately I can't say it was as entertaining as last year. Many people and some of the competitors were not happy with the way it was run. The time table had changed and wasn't as good, and lots of people didn't get as much track time as they should have had, especially compared to last year. Hopefully Rallyday take on the comments and improve for next year! I still have some of my best shots ever yet though, so you're all in for a treat Rallyday 2016 full album link: https://www.facebook.com/fendysphotos/photos/?tab=album&album_id=1117132975047412 We crack open the images with this one of the Mk1 VW Golf from For The Love of Cars, which we saw at Race Retro this year! Next up, one of our favourite competitors was there. FOT 5X, the amazingly good replica Audi quattro rally car! There are plenty more images, and it's unlikely I'll get through them all before the next events. So please look at the album and keep watching this thread for lots of new content!
The little old Subaru is a rare one! Great to see more 6R4s again too! So many photos to get through, you guys are in for a treat
My Rallyday album has so far reached over 100 viewers on Facebook. I think that's a really successful feat, especially compared to some of my previous events, so I really wanted to share that Big thanks to those of you here that viewed it! Let's get back in and find some highlights for this post! The college rally car! It was being used for wheel change best times of the day challenges. Basically the only use it's got other than being a temporary pit area car back in my first year at college for an assignment... it's for hire if any of you want to drive it in a UK tarmac rally championship though
Another MG Metro 6R4! A very nice livery on this Lancia 037, there were a good few of these rare cars there that day!
I'm late to the party - but I prefer the watermark on the Renault pics above. This is your work - it needs to be marked up as such. If someone wants a copy they can buy it If you keep the 'single' watermark design - add some steganography (if you haven't).
You prefer the old watermark? And yes, exactly that, it's there to advertise my work The single watermark seems to have had a better reception when people saw them... but what do you mean by steganography? Isn't steganography making a code/concealed message in another way?
