Why is it crashing?

  1. Hello.
I am having problems with Minecraft 1.9 . I open up a world, and as soon as it loads, Minecraft crashed with this report:

What does this mean, and can anyone help me fix it?
I have tried un-installing and re-installing, but it still happens.
    Thanks!
  2. Its playing my worryingly odd sounds. #MojangDunIt
  3. Can you maybe try a different world (a 1.8 world, and a new 1.9 world)?
  4. The first thing which I spotted was that you're using an older version of Java. I doubt that it is related, but to rule out any problems I'd start there and get a more recent version (yours: 1.8.0_25, current: 1.8.0_74).

Also: could you share some of the contents from that mentioned file: hs_err_pid3244.log ? That might be more useful.

Access violation sounds to me that there is something in the level which the new version can't grok too well. Have you been using any mods by any chance? Maybe did some things in this world using a mod and are now using vanilla?

  6. It's not a good idea to put this type of information out there. I recommend resetting your Session ID. Simply logging into a different launcher or even logging out of and back into the main launcher should do this for you.
  7. Thanks guys :)
    No, I don't use mods.
I'll take a look at that.

Why is it a bad idea? I have removed it, but can you please explain?
  8. When you log into the minecraft launcher, it generates a token that it uses to verify your account (I think). If people have your token ID, they can log into your account until you log out and log back into the mine craft launcher.

  9. Ok, thanks :)
