  1. Theoretically,

There is a shop, theoretically, where I can buy an item for less than what I can sell it.

Should I feel bad taking all of their theoretical money?
  2. I mean I wouldn't because of my moral compass, but they did set up the sign so it shouldn't be against the rules. It's up to you, but I wouldn't do it.
  3. Honestly, I would tell the person that they should change the signs. Don't do it because it would be mean.

  5. Just put yourself in their shoes. What would you want.

  6. Are you saying what the buying price is more than the selling price in the single shop?

I don't think you should because it falls under scamming, maybe.

If I am totally off on this, then disregard my message.
  7. Speaking as a player who knows that their product is buying/selling at an abnormal price, and Im aware of it. I've done so to benefit the younger and inexperienced players who , "don't know how to work the market" and maybe I'm to trusting of the moral integrity of the community to hope that players won't monetarily grief me.
I do have to keep a close eye on things of course, because I do know what I've done, so I don't end up broke. But I do agree that it is best to inform any players about the possibility that they may be taken advantage of.
But again this of course is all theoretical right :p
  8. Didn't a thread like this already appear? Someone link it, my answer is the same.

  10. As just a heads up, if both these shop signs are nearby and it is obvious there is a mistake, and you continue to make use of these signs fully knowing there was a mistake, (with intention to pull a profit) you can expect a visit from the men in green and their ban hammer . Quoting rule 4:

  11. Thanks Rainbow Chin. I will theoretically stop.
  12. Honestly I see no moral dillema. They are making a profit on those items, I've owned a few shops and had this happen, I made my money and was happy. Now if it was a stupid error - Diamonds 7r instead of 70r, or a sign buying something for more than they're selling it - that's different, you should tell them. But otherwise, you are just buying an item and using that item for your own purposes. It happens in the real world all the time, it's called flipping. It exists because people don't want to put in the effort to figure out the actual cost of an item.

EDIT: I see now that this example falls within the "stupid error" category I mentioned above.
  13. Does that mean you were theoretically doing it already?

  14. I think it would be better to let the new player theoretically get away with just paying back any theoretical money and not having to answer that question.
  15. Are you making this thread before you've taken their "theoretical money" or after?
  16. Gonna have to theoretically contact staff just in case.

    Theoretically contacting BurgerKnight
  17. Personally, I would do it a bit. Maybe up to 5-15k, if it can happen. Does that make me a bad person?

    Maybe.
  18. Chin ruining all the underhanded fun as always
