Suggestion, in depth permissions for residences

  1. Hey, I am wanting to hold a spleef event soon, but the problem i have is that if i were to hold a spleef event, I would have to give everyone build permissions which is quite risky in my mind:p not saying you lot are risky but you get what i mean :) So i was thinking maybe some in depth commands such as giving people permission to be able to remove one type of block, for this instance snow. I was thinking the command could go as follows ---> '/res pset snow block build t' so that in events such ass a spleef arena the people taking part can only destroy the snow blocks.

    This is a terrible explanation sorry, but hopefully people get what I mean :p

  4. Definitely a desired feature to add the individual blocks as subflags under build. Currently though, the blocks are not stored by the server in a reliable way to convert directly to text. Major Minecraft updates have the chance to change things. We have talked about looking further into this after the 1.9 update (which is expected to be released by Mojang within the next couple months).

  9. we also do have plans for subzones as a supporter perk that could be released in next few days, giving you ability to change perms for a specific area of your res

  14. If you want to hold a spleef event, try using 'container' blocks for blocking off the areas where you don't want people to break.

    You could use droppers, dispensers, hoppers or maybe even rails. I haven't seen if there's a separate flag for those.

    People who have public stone generators in town use this trick. Hope this helps for now!

  20. It's supporters that fund emc for everyone else, so I see no reason why they should not have privileges above and beyond what everyone else gets. I'm not saying that specifically this flag should be kept for us only, but just pointing that out to those that see supporter perks as a negative. Without supporters, then Emc would not be the server it is today:)
    Plus, its a good way to demo a new command or flag without having a drastic impact on the server as a whole if it should need to be removed or changed
