What got me to post this was a funny moment that just happened on EMC "The ground starts to shake nearby" ME: Oh no, oh please god no. *Starts messaging random people in the chat even though it won't do anything* *Stares right at Momentus* Building anything over there will definitely have to hold off! So I was playing some skyblock a week ago or so, just finished my mob grinders and realized that I forgot to light up the top of it so mobs where spawning on top of it instead. So I go up to fix it and start building a bridge towards it when suddenly a creeper jumps off from the top so I jump off my bridge. I land right on the edge of my island and so does the creeper when it jumps down it then explodes not killing me but making me fall to my death. Sadly I decided to do this on hardcore meaning I was kicked out of the world.
And I'm back with a pretty common annoyance to all minecraft players. So you're just about to finish that build and you get that final block to complete it. You do a little victory thing and decide to head back to whatever your house is. But right before you turn around you hear a "hissssss". Then BAM! all your hardwork down in the gutter possibly along with your inventory thanks to a god dang green walking stick. (creeper) This is especially annoying if you own an outpost on EMC (which I do) because then you get to spend ten minutes getting back to home base. Also can someone tell me if beds set your spawn in the wild on EMC? I don't think they do, can someone PLEASE correct me if I'm wrong.
They do indeed. You can even use beds during the day after which you'll spawn there whenever you die. This is also an often used tactic when fighting Momentus or Marlix (mini bosses): players place a bed close by (not too close, otherwise it might get destroyed), use it and then start fighting. But the moment they die they'll respawn right next to the battlezone. This can also sometimes help to get your gear back.
I was well prepared. What could go wrong? The path to the crevice had been scouted and prepared. Large lava flows and water falls descending from the heights to cover the bottom of the crevice ensured a good score of obsidian. I had a good food supply and all my items were enchanted and diamond -- pick, sword (chicken skewer) and armor. I was dressed in my best. In hind sight this was not such a good idea, but anyway... things were going well, I diverted the water and made lots of obsidian. Mobs were no problem for my gear. As the layers of obsidian got lower they were under water, which was the plan, because when you mine the obsidian under water, the water moves in and makes another block of obsidian. Nice. Safe. Efficient. I had about 9 stacks of 64 of obsidian when it happened... I busted the block of obsidian and when the water rushed in to fill the hole it took me in with it and pushed me in the lava before a new block of obsidian could form 8O. Suddenly I was in the lava and a new block of obsidian had formed over me. I was sealed in the lava under the obsidian. . . . . . .Those first seconds were like, what the.... what happened... OH NO!!!!! I know what happened and I don't know which way I should even try to start swinging my pick. I floundered around as my health bar dropped and slowly got that leaden feeling that comes with the knowledge "I am not getting my gear back" "The last hour and a half of mining obsidian was for nothing!" "IT'S ALL GONE" ........I just stared at the screen with the respawn button, "NO, I DON'T WANT TO RESPAWN, I WANT MY STUFF BACK!" I don't know about any of you guys, but the first thing I think of in that situation is there must be a save point in my computer I can dig out to recover my stuff and other things like that. Eventually though, as sure as atomic decay, I push that respawn button and lick my lava seared wounds and start outfitting myself for action again. Time to go shear some sheep for rupees I guees.
So I'm in the wilderness getting some cobblestone for my mob grinder. Let me pause there. COBBLESTONE! You may have heard this game gives you everything but what you want when mining. I go mining for cobblestone and I find coal, iron, gold, redstone, diamond, emerald, andesite, granite, and diorite. My lucky day.
This may be an old thread but sometimes the oldies are the goodies. I looked around and decided I would share this here. Of all the party crashers, Momentus shows up with a bunch of trouble makers right in my house! There goes the neighborhood. I have already been "horsed" by PheonixAffinity, as the sign states. Good one, I must say, I have never had that happen to me before. I am up to my eyeballs in horses. Now Momentus wants to move into the living room with his gang. Its like "HEY, HEY, you over there, stop dropping ashes on my floor. Your going to burn the place down." and " You! Momentus, Get out! you are too big for this place." At least when they kill me i just fall right back into my bed to stand up and get killed again. Maybe I will watch it in third person for awhile lol.
