Don't understand what's wrong? Isn't the very fact that you consider throwing eggs and hatching chickens "trolling" enough for you?
You can't do that on your friend's place cause that'd be annoying, and people don't want to be annoyed. Why should you be able to do it in a public place and annoy everyone then?

I once got a full inventory of eggs from a wastelands spawn and (not so accidentally) hit the entity cap...

Back "then" (couple years ago), there was no build flag for eggs, so we used to egg players' reses, just for the lulz. There was no entity limit either, so we'd fill a residence with 500 something chickens. The res owners were surprised when they logged on, to say the least. But it wasn't too bad, as we could egg the chickens and sell them for sweet moneiss.
Spawn used to be filled with chickens, too. Back then, there was no "animals can't leave the res" mechanic, so we had chickens going literally everywhere. I might have some screenshots in my old computer.

this needs to be a thing again id love to see 1k chickens on my res then i could get those glorius 3-10k chicken heads

i dunno about others but it doesnt annoy me, it only makes me laugh 2 see chickens inside the walls. i like the free eggs too!

That makes a new holiday... Chicken Day! Chickens invade all servers. Lots of them. They don't count for the entity cap! Insanity.
