Minecraft 1.11.2 Mods: Installing or Updating Java

In the last article of the series we covered the Minecraft 1.11.2 Launcher and profiles. Now it’s time to talk about Java.

JavaThe problem with the launcher is that it comes bundled with a two-year-old, 32-bit version of Java that can cause all sorts of weirdness and problems!  The biggest of these is that it probably doesn’t use as much of your computer’s RAM as possible, so even though you can run Minecraft decently, it doesn’t always work as efficiently and smoothly as it could. In addition, a number of mods only list the latest Java version as compatible. This article will teach you how to install the correct or updated Java version and enable Minecraft to utilize it.

Christmas Song Parody – Oh EMC

Deck the halls, trim the stockings, and sing this Christmas song!

In December 2013, a member of Empire Minecraft by the name of _Stads_ had the novel idea to create a Christmas song and have all of the Empire Minecraft staff provide the voices. The staff didn’t have the best vocals, but they tried their best. Multiple recordings were sent in and combined over the course of a month to create a pretty neat song parody, just in time for Christmas. While the vocal track to the Christmas song no longer exists, we wanted to spotlight the lyrics for our Christmas Eve blog post as a throwback special to 2013.

So grab the nearest hairbrush, remote control, or other microphone substitute and sing this Christmas song at the top of your lungs. If you have an ear for music, maybe you could even make your own video using this song, or maybe try making your own Empire Minecraft Christmas song parody. Mom Plays Minecraft!

“Wait you’re a mom? That’s so weird!!”

“Yeah! Moms don’t play minecraft!!”

I cannot count the number of times that has been said to me. Guess what? Moms do in fact play minecraft. And I for one, enjoy it. In fact I make time in my day just to play it! After the chores are done, the kids have eaten, are napping and I have gotten something for myself to eat, I play minecraft. My life as a mom always comes first, but I love to relax by playing this game.
