The splash screen of Minecraft 1.16 includes a 360 degree panorama of an updated Nether. This angle includes a crimson forest, warped forest, and soulsand valley. [20w18a Minecraft 1.16]

Minecraft Add-Ons: A Minecraft Pocket Edition Tutorial

May 10, 2017 by jkrmnj Leave a Comment

Since 2010, users have been waiting on the official plugin API for Minecraft, which is a system promised by Mojang that would simplify the process of adding modifications to all versions of the game, through Minecraft add-ons.

Although regular computer edition users will have to wait a little longer, Pocket Edition players (including those on the iOS, Android, Windows 10, Gear VR, Apple TV and Amazon Fire TV platforms) can enjoy it now. Last October, Mojang released Alpha version .16 on all Pocket Edition platforms. Along with a ton of new features, it introduced some early aspects of the long-awaited plugin API, with official support for making ‘add-ons’ which change the game’s look and mob behavior.

The World of 1.8: Minecraft Rabbits

November 7, 2014 by Olaf_C Leave a Comment

Minecraft Rabbit

Introduction:

Mojang released the new updated 1.8 version of Minecraft a few weeks ago, and there are quite a few things we are all excited about. From armor stands to flags, and new doors to Ocean/Water temples, 1.8 is a feature packed update with tons of new adventures to take, items to craft, and so on. Minecraft rabbits are one of the new mobs added to Minecraft; they are quite the elaborate addition.

The new Minecraft rabbit has 6 natural variants, with one variant obtained using a name tag and one hostile variant, bringing the grand total to 8 variants possible. New drops include rabbit hide, the rare rabbit foot, and food types (raw and cooked rabbit). Rabbit stew will be the second kind of stew added to Minecraft and has been added as part of the 1.8 update.

Rabbit Types:

Brown and White MC Rabbit Brown Minecraft Rabbit with white underbelly  White Minecraft Rabbit  White Minecraft Rabbit
Blonde Minecraft Rabbit Blonde Minecraft Rabbit  Brown Rabbit  Brown Minecraft Rabbit
Black Speckled Minecraft Rabbit Black Speckled Minecraft Rabbit  Toast the Minecraft Rabbit Toast: a Black & White Minecraft Rabbit
black and white minecraft rabbit  White with Black Spot Minecraft Rabbit Killer Minecraft Rabbit The Killer Bunny: White Minecraft Rabbit

Toast is obtained using a nametag renamed “toast”, or a spawn egg renamed “toast”. The Killer Bunny has a change of 1 in 1000 in spawning, and is hostile.

Breeding & Taming Rabbits:

Minecraft rabbits can be bred by using carrots, golden carrots, and dandelions. When a bunny is bred, it is always the color of one of its parents. When taming a Minecraft rabbit, it uses the same mechanics as any other tamable mob. You feed them carrots until they no longer take carrots. Rabbits exhibit the same breeding patterns as pigs. Untamed rabbits behave in similar to those of ocelots. If you move towards a minecraft rabbit too fast, it will get scared and run away. Hold a carrot in your hand, hold shift, and they will come to you.

Minecraft Rabbit Drops:

Rabbits FootThe rabbits foot is a new drop obtained by killing a rabbit. Its use is for brewing the “Potion of Leaping”

Rabbit HideRabbit hide is dropped from a rabbit upon death. Four rabbit hides arranged into a square in a crafting table output 1 leather.

Raw RabbitRaw rabbit is a drop that drops upon the death of a rabbit. When consumed, the player will receive 3 hunger points. Cooked rabbit is obtained when a Minecraft rabbit dies while on fire or when raw rabbit is cooked. Cooked rabbit gives a player 5 hunger points when consumed.

In Conclusion:

Minecraft rabbits are a very interesting new feature added to 1.8, and I am very happy they were added. The addition of Minecraft rabbits bring new food, potions, and companions. Minecraft rabbits are one of the many features that have been added to 1.8, and they will bring a great new experience to Minecraft.

Building in Minecraft 1.8

August 5, 2014 by samsimx

Do you like building? Getting bored of what minecraft supplies you to make your creations? Well, look forward to the 1.8 update which adds many great blocks that you can use to add detail to some of your builds. These new blocks will brighten up your builds and add small details that will catch the eye to make your build look amazing!

First a good thing to mention about something we’ve been waiting for ages for would be the addition of the ability to craft chiseled stone brick(circle stone), mossy stone bricks and cracked stone brick. These sought after blocks were previously only available in generated structures, now with the easy accessibility of them they are now more survival friendly building blocks.
