I don't know the average, but I'd say between 1 and 3 minutes usually. I should note that I generally do not play on hard mode, so my second guess is easy. After that it becomes a matter of trying to find something that works with the letters received, which often goes much quicker, but that time it took more than 5 minutes to think of a fitting word going from guess 3 to 4. Despite the 4 known letters, it still took that long to find something that fit.

It took me a few minutes today. I've noticed I stumble when I don't get the first or second letter on the first guess. Getting just the middle or last letter causes the greatest delay. 🙂
