I've been trying to get out into the waste-
but every time I go out I seem to get blown up by creepers or murderilated by zombies, ect
I don't have the patience for constantly dying and having to go back and forth from the respawn to where I died
and I'm getting close to the 50 mark

I would Strongly suggest server jumping typing /V +mall or /v +shop and asking around.

You will end up finding many stores/malls with stock.

Trust me, I do that and thats how i obtain bulk items for builds, and when i say bulk, I mean several DC's of one item.

Sometimes if I'm looking for prices before I shop I use this. It doesn't list every place that sells but it's a good start. Also, I have some white conc powder at my mall, /v +VelMart on SMP6 =)

It sounds like you are in need of a good set of armor! A diggy buddy helps too, they can guard you while you get your resources. I like to be a sniper, lemme know if you need a hand. =)

SMP6 is my usual haunt (Halloween pun intended =P) but I'm flexible

I think it might be easier to just get the concrete powder and placing it where you want it, then pouring water over it
