    Since the deadline is a certain time after the last vaild bid ( since it was valid ) we can increase our bid to keep extending the deadline time of the auction till someone else bid more or till we are tired?

  19. Yes. That's a bit of an odd mechanic, but yes, it's possible. There's a loophole there that if you've got an alt, you can make it so that you don't ever have to pay, as you can keep increasing your bid into eternity.
    There's probably a semi-official policy for that, somewhere.
