I've heard Blood+ was a good one, but i dunno yet, my mom said she liked that when she was a teen =P But i like OHSHC (Ouran High School Host Club) but im waiting for the second season ( april 19 2018) So excited! ^-^
I too am an Otaku Though I'm to broke to collect models, cds, and Manga (got love the library) I can at least watch anime for free online here http://www.crunchyroll.com/ and Netflix and Hulu are getting a better selection of anime too. I have a very very long lost of all the anime I have seen saved on my pc, which I might be able to edit in later. But I have to say that my top favorite animes are: Victorian romance - Emma, Kenshin, and don't judge... Sailor Moon because it was my first introduction to the genre and will always hold a special spot in my heart ♡
Thank you! Hihihi. I will finally have more choice than Netflix or download! Sometimes it's hard to find new animes by yourself. That's why I was lazy and stuck with Netflix only.
yeah, this one is awesome. Watched it as a kid and a friend bought it on DVD; we watch it now once a month with my clique This one is also reall good. I don't know why it gets so much hate on 9gag :/ I'm also a fan of the Studio Ghibli movies. They are really great
How can 9Gag do that!?! I rage delete 9Gag right now! lol! don't mess with my SAO 9Gag! you can't win this battle!!! GRR!
I was going to reply to Kytula's post, but then I remembered that's not working. Anyway, consider this as a reply to "I have a very very long lost of all the anime I have seen saved on my pc, which I might be able to edit in later. " You could instead use http://myanimelist.net/. If you register there you can create a list of all the anime you've watched or that you plan to watch (they have all of them there), score them, read reviews and share all of it with other people. They also show you some statistics based on your list, like how much time you've spent watching all these animes (97 days in my case ).
Birosquinha Thank you! Another player had mentioned this to me before, and I forgot all about it. >_< But now I finally have my stuff listed. ^_^ lol and here I thought my total of 51 days was pretty good 97 is impressive! Khalietal there's 2 other threads you might be interested in reading when you get time, that are anime related http://empireminecraft.com/threads/the-otaku-thread.57781/ and http://empireminecraft.com/threads/share-your-must-watch-anime-list.58187/ They are both older threads from last year I think, but still you might get some other players suggestions for some good animes from there. and if anyone is interested here's the list of the one's I've seen http://myanimelist.net/animelist/Kytula 128 in alphabetical order .hack//Roots .hack//Sign .hack//Tasogare no Udewa Densetsu Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon Crystal Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon R Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon R: Make Up! I'm currently watching a horror anime called Another, so I thought it'd be a good opportunity to talk about mystery/horror animes (and to help keep this thread going ) My favorite of the genre is probably Shiki. It's a story about a little town that gets plagued by an unknown infectious disease that kills many of its inhabitants after a mysterious and eccentric family moves to an European castle in the neighborhood. The members of this family have a rare disease that prevents them from going out in sunlight and have suspiciously pointy teeth. Oh, did I mention they live IN A FRIGGIN' CASTLE?? It's pretty obvious for us that the story's about vampires, but not for the characters. The interesting part is seeing how these people come to realize and accept the truth by themselves, each at different speeds (and some of these people are really bad at connecting the dots). Another one that I watched recently is Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni (When the Cicadas Cry or something like that). The story's about a boy that moves to a little town (always the little towns) and befriends his new classmates. Little by little we learn about the horrifying secrets of this town, and then people start dying, and then we get to the climax, and then the story ends... and starts again! The anime is comprised of many stories, all happening on the same place, with the same characters and same background, but with different plots and endings. It's really fun watching the person that was brutally murdered a couple episodes ago be now the one killing everyone I love these kinds of shows, so if you have a recommendation I'm all ears.
Another, Shiki and Higurashi... I will have a look for certain Here's the outcome of Ajinemi-Human : It was great. I hate 1 season shows thought.. I want more all the time and Netflix is great at collecting short shows lol! I found my old copy on DVDs of DotHack I was a little disappointed since now I watched SAO 1 and 2. I prefer the cheesy love story that conquers all for the sake of the world lol. finally, here's my latest discovery: The Irregular at Magic High School. Almost done with it too. Great Sci-Fi twist on magic users. They use electronic devices to help channel their magic and all. It's very interesting and entertaining (Warning, classic Brother/Sister love that always feels awkward to me) yep, that's it for now too Anyone heard about Battle Royal? I heard its a great Manga/Anime/Movie/Tabletop game. My old Dungeon and Dragon friends told me so years ago.
I'm gonna be that guy; I don't like anime. I will, however, watch it when there's a dry period of my favourite TV shows not being on air (the summer when TWD, The 100, Doctor Who, Better Call Saul, Game of Thrones have finished their run or are waiting to start it ). I watched Dragon Ball Z when I grew up. I met someone who liked anime when I was in Year 7 who I watched High School of the Dead for/with, but I think this turned me away from it. I got bored about a year and a half ago about a week before I went back to school after the summer and I steamed through Attack on Titan (which I have rewatched twice ) and moved onto Death Note. I watched Sword Art Online after I finished Year 10 in July last year - it had me captivated until the mid-season, when I think the whole thing fell apart. I finished the first season just to find out what happened at the end of the story and tried to get into Season 2, but I honestly gave up 3 episodes in. I moved onto Tokyo Ghoul instead and watched that over the summer, which was a pretty good decision As of right now I'm waiting on Tokyo Ghoul Season 3 and Attack on Titan Season 2. I don't think we'll be seeing either for a while, so I have no anime to watch. Its a good thing I've built up a backlog of British and American TV shows over the last few months so I can roll through them when I have 11 weeks off next month Looking forward to the Ghost in the Shell movie with Scarlett Johansson btw. I've heard good things about the anime but I don't feel like watching that Also we need a thread for reality TV shows or whatever they're actually called. Catfish and Desperate Housewives = da bomb.
As far as I know about Attack on Titan, the Anime was considered as broken/not handled properly and is now too far off the Manga serie to be continued. They kinda wrapped everything up to fast and gave crappy answer to big questions that the books really emphasize on longer, killing the essence at 2/3 of the show. I personally still loved it quite alot myself but got disappointed to read how bad they hurt the ending for a next season. I also heard that another great studio wanted to remake the whole deal from scratch. They are aiming at a 2hours per show kind of setup which is rare. I wonder what the outcome will be. I would be thrilled to watch more of it! edit: Oh yeah, so you're that guy that watch stuff he doesn't like? quite a portfolio you got there in the anime world hihihi
Angel beats had a good ending. I used to watch Fairy tail but now just read the manga. I finished Log Horizon(so far needs more seasons). Those are the main ones that stick out to me other than different mainstream animes.. Yeah will add more as I space out and don't think.
Ninja'd by Keliris, I was gonna recommend Log Horizon too. It's another "trapped in an RPG" anime, but much better than the rest out there (coff SAO coff). Definitely needs more seasons. Now what I'm really looking forward to this year is the new adaptation of Berserk. Best manga ever (seriously, look it up). The last anime adaptations Berserk got were very good, but there's a ton that could be improved on.
Just started this one, this week. http://www.crunchyroll.com/rezero-s...1?utm_source=android&utm_campaign=socialshare I usually wait for the season to finish and bing watch but Re:Zero is one that is intriguing enough so far, to keep me coming back. It's different from all the other shows I've seen. So I apologize if it's an old, almost cliche, plot for the more seasoned amongst us ^_^
I don't get it but i know people who do.My friend posts nothing but anime related stuff on facebook. My cousin is also really into it. He's got robes and stuff with all this anime stuff. He's passionate about it, but i just don't get it.
Pretty sure AyanamiKun was joking. His nickname and profile pic come from a pretty famous anime - one with a stupid ending that ruined the whole thing... Also, I don't get what you're not getting Tower . Being a fan of anime isn't any different from being a fan of comic books, cartoons or movies. There isn't much more than that to it.
