The story was written on a wall on AussieColt's res. I've checked now, the res is no more. Well, AFAIK, long long time ago, around turn of the year 2011/2012, AussieColt thought that the prices in player shops were too high. (She did not explain why in that writing. I've also searched the forum, but I could not find a hint about why she would think so.) So, she has lowered prices in her own shop - e.g. she was selling 6 Wool for 1r. People kept telling her that it's ridiculous, but she was quite stubborn. In February 2012, she made a thread "Give your honest opinion on prices", but it got only few replies. IIUC, the free rupees were originally given per hour online, so that they were bound to at least some kind of effort, but then it was changed to completely effortless income. I'm curious to find out about what causes high fluctuation of prices besides demand and supply. Perhaps people like AussieColt, who, for some obscure reason, think that the prices are "wrong"? And, if it is primarily demand and supply, why did the prices change so much, why did people start or stop to produce and/or consume? What in the EMC history did have such significant influence on prices?
I made my first 10k selling to them Oh and when enchanted items were considered a luxury. Fortune and Silk picks were selling for 10k. Not to mention the price of Diamonds and Gold back then, around 40r and 5r each. Wonder what happened..
Remember the wild worlds before the periodic reset area? It was so torn up you couldn't walk and no trees for miles!
