Unless they will be getting a purpose soon, it really just takes up space. Let it become semi-valuable due to limited stock.
Previous statements by Kryssy have stated that the point was to build up a collection of them to use as currency for Empires Update. Since we have had no discussion or even a theoretical date for an Empires Update... I can understand your frustration. Sell them or give them away if you dont want to bother storing them. If nothing else, the Recycling Center on Utopia will take them @ +recycle or +dirt or 5716 (obviously I am not asking for Empires to be worked on when Mojang is busy releasing game updates. but if there were time in-between, perhaps a bit more discussion or updates on Empires? The next update to 1.18 is going to take a bit... so if that allowed some time there - that's all I am saying)
