I think it's more of an issue of the area around the outposts, and adding new ones at (5m and 10m?) to allow for new chunks immediately at the outposts, and for people not to have to go a long ways out to establish an outpost in unexplored territory.
All the Cobble you can eat, preferably with A1 Sauce at SMP3 Frontier SE, head west past the fenced in flower field and head down into the hole, preferably via the ladder instead of leaping to your certain death without an elytra. Lots of free cobble there. Feel free to dig more up! I don't lock the silos. Beacons are up so with a good pickaxe, its very easy to gather ALOT of cobble very quickly.
