Little owls in the garden!

  1. Hello EMC!
I am happy to say that I am lucky enough to have a female little owl living in my garden! But that's not the best part: it has two babies! I feel privileged to have these amazing birds in my garden as their population has declined by 24% between 1995 and 2008 in the UK. I have had tawny and barn owls living in my garden before, but the barn owl doesn't return (I'm not saying it's dead) and tawny owls aren't permanent residents. I named the mother Athena and her babies Charlie and Beatrice. I just really hope the magpies leave the babies alone...
