  1. Hi, it's me again!

I recently had to get a new laptop, and it's got Windows 11 as its operating system. Now, I haven't been able to install Minecraft on it. The new launcher does the following:

And I couldn't install the old launcher; it worked for a bit when I used it from Windows Explorer, but now it doesn't anymore.

Has anyone else had this happen, and/or does anyone know a solution?

    Alternatively, try MuliMC
It's a really good launcher if you want to support having multiple accounts and several mods, that does not also support Microsoft accounts. It might be overkill for your purposes, though. :)

  4. install multimc. it may help you alot
  5. i dont know how anyone uses anything but multimc anymore lol
  6. bruh imagine not using lunar client XD
joking but I believe lunar should work on 11
  7. Interesting to know that many people here use a 3rd party client!

After chickeneer's post, I downloaded MinecraftInstaller.msi 'DOWNLOAD FOR WINDOWS 7/8'. I'm pretty sure this was what I tried before, but it works now.
Good. :) I am confused that the option that is apparently for 'Windows 10/11' seems to use the Microsoft Store, though. This is Java Edition, not Bedrock.
