Griefing is out of control!

  1. Yeah on SMP 1 there's lots of scamming and theft going on, and some harassment as well. it's seemed to spike and the sucky part is, without video evidence/ a mod being right there, apparently nothin can be done...

tl;dr people stink when it comes to taking things that aren't theirs and there's really nothing to be done without pooping on everyone and ruining the fun of the server.
  2. before nicstar9000's res got reset:
    "Drakness is good for you...
    ...Theif..."
or if you dont understand that:
    "Darkness is good for you.
    -Thief"
    The res farm was wrecked.
  3. Well technically you guys are right and wrong at the same Time!

    EMC Code of Conduct

    1. Do Not Destroy
Do not break other people’s creations (aka griefing). If you are caught doing so either accidentally or on purpose you will be permanently banned.

    2. Do Not Steal
Do not steal from other players, even if you find an unlocked player chest in the wilderness or if you have container permissions on another player’s lot. If you are caught doing so you will permanently banned.

It does not have a specified area, location or world to it. Meaning that just like grief is everywhere, so is the rules of conduct. Which should be enforced to ensure that players respect one another in a mature and mannerly fashion?

I'm an Administrator on a private server. I come here to get away from that server because I have too much power there like killing the griefer on the spot and transferring all their items they own to another player. Every block created, placed or moved by a player is logged by the server (which I hope they do here) and has a player’s unique signature until it is changed by another player. It records the time, date and location of an event!

    They can be caught.
  4. recording every block on a large server would take massive amounts of resources, its likely that the server you are on is smaller and less old and thus the lag caused from recording a block placed or destroyed isnt noticable. as far as griefings in the wastelands or the reset zone many times players even old ones like me are just digging straight and dont even know when we break into things until we are in them. also using low hardness materials like dirt or wood makes your area creeper bait.
