I only realised after posting that you'd check there, and because I was on my phone and had slow internet, I couldn't be bothered to check. EDIT: And googling just the term, without definition, did not for me result into anything apart from the region in Scotland.
Yeah, that's true! But I usually don't Google (I did this time because I was curious if the region or the other definition would come above in the results), I just type en.wiktionary.org/wiki/[word] into the address bar. (or nl.wiktionary.org/wiki/[word], depending on the language of the word I am curious about) Anyway, I still don't like the idea of having rounds of guess the word where over half of the people playing won't even know the word.
I have a piece of cairngorm quartz. Atleast that's what I was told it was. I've had it for over 30 years now. edit: It's just dirty quartz! No it has impurities in it, mostly iron.
