Flowers getting cut off at the top?

  1. I'm not sure why this is happening or if it's happened before but the flowers I planted outside my house (the two block high ones) have their tops cut off. I've took them down and replanted them and they returned to normal but as soon as I left the town area and went to the frontier they went back to being cut in half.

  3. It works just fine on singleplayer. Is there any known way of fixing other than changing texture packs?
