Computer Building

  1. Get a GeForce graphics card. Make sure you have 8-16 GB of ram. I personally prefer a water cooling system for larger computers, it tends to be more efficient for me.
  2. As long as you know what you are doing its very simple.
On the motherboard there is writing stating which connects to which, and the manuals are always there should you need them.

But in saying this, I have been pulling apart and fixing families and friends computers for 2 years now so I had a pre-existing knowledge of putting them together.

Just look on youtube, especially Linus Tech Tips. That will show you how its all done nice and simple, and safely.

Change the case to whatever you like (I used mine as I know it's a solid case) Just make sure it's ATX, if you feel like the budget can stretch get another R9-290 in that system (Crossfire it)
  4. I have a Thor V2, I love myself a white case.
  5. I saw that one also, but It just wouldn't fit where I wanted it to. And it looked really out of place in my room.
  6. Love that case! i will probably get it :D
  7. :D It also comes with 2x 200mm LED fans from memory. And you can change the colour from red, blue, green, multi and off :D

    Edit: 140mm fan watercooler: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835181036

A 140mm fan is required for optimal use in this case.

If I did my math right, it should cost about $1950. That is assuming a 10% sales tax on the CPU. That PC would eat through anything, and has a great amount of room for upgrades. If you don't want two GTX 770's, you can substitute practically any graphics card in for it.

Everything should fit correctly. The Thor V2 is a huge case, so I would get some cable extensionf for the 8pin CPU and 24pin CPU cables (can't remember their official names).

It may not be budget friendly, so if you have a target budget, then let us know so that we can adjust accordingly. :)

I have seen reviews and heard of them just dying and having many issues in high stress games like Battlefield 3. I was going to get for a friend a while back, but places like Tom's Hardware were flooded with horror stories. :O
