  1. I love cheese also!

    - Slice mozzarella fairly thin, place a piece of prosciutto on top, roll up and slice like a pinwheel.

    - Cracker + roasted pepper slices + Parmesan = awesomeness!

    - cheddar cheese and garlic with chili seasoning on crackers

    - Boursin cheese or melted brie with fresh cracked pepper on a cracker
  2. If you ever get the chance to go to Britain and you like cheese go to Wensleydale, they make a lot of cheese and its one of my favourite places on earth because you go in a cold room and go along a line and their is about 15 different cheeses you can taste. You get a cocktail stick and taste the different cheeses Ive been twice and on the 2nd time while my friends where on the tour I was going around, and around the tasting place :D.
  3. Don't forget cheese and tomato sandwiches:p
  4. Those are amazing also :)
  5. So I knew Wensleydale sounded familiar, googled and was not disappointed:

  8. My favourite is ham and cheese panini yum :D
  9. WE FORGOT THE CRACKERS GROMIT!!!

The cheese you have is most likely a toned down version (as established already). Americans are WAY too used to bland food, i can't find the right spices to put in my Indian cooking in the states. Think about the French Fry (WOW, an American classic is named after France [ for all you that don't know, the french fry was invented in america, along with fortune cookies, and pizza]). We douse it in salt in an attempt to give it flavor, and if that is not enough, we smother it in tomato, for the "braver" ones, hot sauce too.

  10. I don't live in a place where I can find "fancy" cheeses.

I am a fan of cheddar (sharp), parmesan, mozzarella, queso fresco, oaxaca.
  11. Pizza was invented in Italy.

Spaghetti and hard-shell tacos were also invented in America.

  13. Wow. beautiful choices. mi fav is parmesan with roasted pepper slices and crackers
  14. I have not yet met the cheese that I don't like. I have even made cheese. Usually soft goat cheeses (since I have dairy goats), but I've also made mozzarella quite a few times because it's pretty easy and doesn't require any kind of aging.
  15. Spaghetti are noodles, and those originated in Japan. :) I do not know about the history about the tomato, except it was considered poisonous. Its discovery by Thomas Jefferson to be safe to eat makes it likely that someone maybe the connection in America, perhaps an Italian immanent :)
  16. The dish we know as spaghetti was invented in America in the early 20th century (I think).
  17. Goat cheese. On swiss, cheddar, and american cheese. On a pizza. With tomatoes. And spinach.
  18. Quesillo de Honduras. White, crumbly and oh so tasty! Even better when it has chiles chopped up in it!

    Background/Description:
    Made from standardized cow’s milk,
Quesillo de Honduras is a cheese of the “pasta filata” type that is
made mainly by small-scale cheese producers.

    Production
    :
Milk is standardized according to the fat content desired
in the end product. Cheese whey is used as starter and coagulation
with commercial rennet takes place when heated at 86° to 89°F
(30° to 32°C) for 10 to 15 minutes. Whey is drained off and the
curd is pressed and then broken up and crumbled. Salt is added
and the curds are heated directly until they are soft enough to
withstand stretching in a uniform manner when they are made
    into the final shape.
