Calling All Outposts! United Outposts Organization

Im thinking smp7 because I already have a res there

Okay so I've started on the HQ. I am currently in need of coal/charcoal and sand (and some dirt if you have some. I will set up a donation station at the HQ. On smp7 just do /v +UO

The headquarters res is owned by my alt LeprechaunGuy

Oh, idk about joining the federation. I like my own little slice of the empire. Though i have thought about moving my outpost to a new location. In the event i move, my old outpost would then most likely want to join in on the United front.

Chiming in here from SMP5 and Middle Earth outpost - we could probably send out a representative to help out with building a meeting house - I'll check with my members.
Currently we have about 15 members. Several are very active players and our outpost is growing fast! How will your organization work? Will the owner of the outpost be the rep who attends your meetings, or are all members welcome? We have tiers of membership, ranging from mature and responsible to enthusiastic and young. And then there is the category of 'member who logs on once a month to keep from going derelict', and a few who have actually disappeared but have contributed such amazing builds we have left them in memorial.

I think a very useful and simple idea would be to just open a separate/private thread with outpost owners to discuss current issues and share with others successes and failures. We could also each assign ambassadors from our outpost to go out and tour the other outposts and perhaps build an embassy at each others' outposts, but I do want to be sure that anyone we bring out to Middle Earth is a trustworthy and proven EMC player. For example, if another outpost wanted to have an embassy at Middle Earth we would dedicate a spot - keeping in mind that our oupost is a representation of Tolkien's Middle Earth and all buildings have to fit into the theme we have going on. And we could send out someone to build an embassy in their outpost which fits with their community plan, and we could select the builder within our team that is best at your sort of buildings.
We could even have each SMP build their own daughter organization of outposts - wow I am so full of ideas

This would definitely not be a federation. more like a cooperation. If an outpost needs help, everyone has the choice to help it. No set mandates.

I love this idea. Being one of the more active members (but perhaps more immature ) of the Middle Earth outpost, I would love to pitch in to help in whatever way possible.

Good idea Petunia! Sorry typing from phone. The meeting houses would all be glass domes with a star wars senate/commons area inside. Working on one on smp7 go to /v +UO

Actually scratch my earlier post. Each smp should have an HQ with unique architecture that maybe goes with the smp main thing. ( Thinking like medieval castle for one, Japanese pagoda for another, pyramid, skyscraper) Also maybe tonight we can have an expedition to look for an end portal.

This sounds really cool! In 3-4 weeks, Enderlands will (hopefully) be established in the End frontier, and will join this orginization. In the meantime, I'd like to be a volunteer for any EARTH projects that need doing.

I built one dome at my plot on smp5 (my alt's plot) following the pattern of the dome on Smp7, then I realized I centered it on the edge so I may not have room for more than 2 of them, at any rate, it's at
smp5, 10044 - LilyOsmunster 2 if you guys want to look! Also, I was going to put some materials in your chest but even though it said 'access', I couldn't open it ;/

And so it won't really be the same as the others!

The smp5 house design can be domes then. What should other smp be?

The dome looks pretty good petunia! No need for more than one if they are that big.

So what style should the meeting place for UO on each smp be? Here are a few ideas:

I'm about to get an alt or two so I can have a plot on each smp, so tell me if you would like to be a builder.
