Bamfurlong is now open for public use on SMP5! Created by the Middle Earth Outpost, Bamfurlong is a Lord of the Rings themed emerald and exp farm. It spans over 2 residences and contains 200 farmer villagers and free pumpkins and melons. The farm can be found at /v +bamfurlong on SMP5. Using the Farm Collect pumpkins and melons from the chests (container perms are set to true), then trade the crops to villagers for emeralds. Trading both pumpkins and melons will yield the most emeralds. Upon trading, villagers also give experience points. Additional Resources Public villager trading has been set up at 10073 and 10894 on SMP5. These locations offer blacksmiths, librarians, clerics, cartographers and more. Socialism!! This could break big business on the server. No longer need to unlock trades, an unlimited amount of emeralds and xp free to all players at this res, other reses with villagers free to trade with for so many op items for these emeralds as well as books for enchanting. This must be stopped!
Just checked this out. I have to say I agree with StableGenius. This is an economy destroyer for pumpkin, melon, and emeralds. Be that as it may I have to say I'm really impressed with the execution. Well done. For the record I'm not complaining as I have need for large quantities of emeralds and this is a great place to repair all my mending gear when needed.

I have made modifications to significantly reduce the lag there. And I have increased the production of pumpkins. Cool place. Awesome particularly for new players.
I have shut down part of it to reduce lag and it is now much better. For anyone who has not been here is a big automated pumpkin and melon farm with 200 farmers to trade with to get emeralds and xp. Great for new players, great for fixing stuff.
