bronze = 50 dragons
silver = 200 dragons
gold = 500 dragons

Do they have to be fully grown?

Full grown or Frozen Hatchlings (or Leetle Trees) count for trophies.. However, if you freeze your hatchlings, you can't breed with them..

Aw.....freezes every single hatchling and laughs evily*

Well, the blacks are considered rare, but the alts are probably at the "Uncommonly Rare" level.
