1.9.4 Crashing

Discussion in 'Empire Help & Support' started by ThaKloned, May 30, 2016.

  1. Can't figure this out. What I was trying to do was download the mods I use but for 1.9.4. They include liteloader, VoxelMap, Optifine & MacroMod. I thought maybe one of those was the issue as it's happened before but I get this issue in a normal SP game without any mods. I've reinstalled Java 64-bit, still crashing. I have all setting to minimal or off as far as display settings and default texture pack. Going to try a fresh install of MC again.

    Any ideas?

Tried to post the error log but it's far more then the allowed 1000 characters. Even in 3 posts!
  2. Are all of the mod the same version?
  3. Maybe just don't use a mod..
  4. Yes. I downloaded them all in 1.9 versions AND 1.9.4 versions. But these crashing are still happening without any mods at all.

EDIT: Getting the same crash with 1.9.
  5. I had an error like this kinda... is VBOs turned on? If it is off, try turning it on. Not sure if it will work but its worth trying.
  6. Just trying to help rule out possible causes (I can't relate to this because 1.9.4 works for me).

You said you re-installed Java, but did you also update it to the latest version? The current version is 1.8.0 update 92.

What you can also do to try and rule things out is to rename your current Minecraft folder (on Windows you'd find this in C:\Users\YourName\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft) and then trying to start Minecraft again. This would force it to start fully fresh, without mods and without any of your previous settings.

If that last option does work then it's definitely something in your current setup. If it doesn't then there's something icky going on (be sure to check Java versions).

Hope this can help a bit.

PS: you can undo that "pristine start" by removing the newly made .minecraft folder and then renaming your old one back to .minecraft.

  8. Stew ftw! :p 1.9 & 1.9.4 work fine and mods are working :) Thanks!
  9. Hm, that's interesting! I'll be sure to keep that in mind!
  10. Ya lol Normally I turn everything off so I get no lag. TBH I don't even know what VBOs is :D
  11. "Something that makes your Minecraft crash" ;)

  12. Vertex Buffer Object ;)
Options should tell what they are when hovered over, as it's not always clear what should be high and what should be low for best performance.
