@Soul I was also wondering. I heard from some people that there are in fact people lying about fare dodging, and that that makes some bus drivers very careful. In Italy, they apparently get so many rude fare dodgers that the ticket checkers tend to start by shouting when an issue arises, as they assume civil methods won't work.
