Crazy thing is, the flu is still worse than this.
Does this have the possibility to be much worse? Yes it does but until it reaches the 450 million infected mark and the 200k dead the seasonal flu is still worse than this. Yes the Italian area seems bad but that is also because they had a mass exodus of people just before the shut down everything.
Quarantine will NOT kill this virus it will just make the transmission slower. The projected death rate by the CDC for he world is only 3%. Now while what is a lot of people the flu kills people every year and it still doesn't recieve this attention.
It's never been about killing the virus, its about flattening the curve so hospitals and supplies can keep up with demand, and the flu is nothing compared to covid-19 its only been a few days and the US has tripled in cases.
The flue infects about 100 million people in the US alone every year and kills about 20k. Once corona reaches that point which as of yet it hasn't reached that worldwide I will say it may be worse than the flu
Honestly South Korea has done a fantastic job cutting down on cases by testing around 15,000 people a day, logging where infected people have been, and creating an app to have people avoid those places.
Hmm really odd when the CDC agrees with everything he has said
Also South Korea didn't immeidately lock things down and allowed it to spread to more people super fast
