In less than two weeks we dropped from being in the 2800 players active last month to the 2600s... :/

That's unsurprising, as school started. But numbers weren't great during the summer either, to be honest.
Perhaps because we're not on 1.14? I hope so. ;)

Well, the thing that worries me is that we were above 3000 constantly last year.

I was curious as to what is was a while ago. A screenshot from 27-10-2016 shows 6653 players active last month.

16-12-2017 shows 5906.

04-10-2018 shows 4251. Eek.

Should have seen the servers back in 2012-2014. When EMC was high up on the voting sites. The servers stay packed 24/7.

Yeah I check back occasionally and everytime it seems more and more dead. I love the concept of the server and everything and I wish there was more people playing. When I started in 2012ish I believe the servers were constantly full I couldn't get into my home server on a regular basis.

@Code_Surfer That can't be true, I played in 2013 and while there were often 10+ people on (which now seems to only happen for events), I have never seen the server full except for events.

Indeed, sadly.
Way back in my old old time, I did witness the days of struggling to get online due to full servers. Based on the join date of someone I knew a while ago, some of that was also in late 2014, but likely less than before then.
