Aww. :P I'm really happy with 4 of my grades! With the 3 other grades I'm not as happy. :P I'll retake one though, so hopefully that can change to just 2! :D (and computer science and maths D didn't have a central exam, so woot :D)
Actually, I know someone who has maths D but doesn't have an extra subject, so I believe he had just 6 exams... :P And while maths D and computer science made me lose 2, the 2 for IB English brought it back up to 9 again... :P This also means that there were people with 11 exams... yay. :P
I know! I did think you needed at least one in both. I had Latin in the vrije keuze, and Music in the extra. So I guess I could've done without Music? (not without Latin, as Music doesn't count as a full subject)
Yup! (ah, vrije keuze is what it's called indeed) For us music is an actual full subject, actually - you can even do final exam in it! :D As is with "tekenen" (drawing).
Ah, yeah, I think you've told me that before! I believe that's called 'oude stijl'. born_ego did his PWS on the subject music in secondary education. I've never read it, though.
Why would that be called "oude stijl"? :P Music and drawing in our school aren't "just for fun", you also have to study actual theory and history, and there are actual tests. Unlike most subjects (which have 2 lessons a week), both music and drawing have three lessons a week (Latin and Greek too :D). I also know about someone who did her PWS on drawing, and multiple on music.
Well, I guess because in the past at every school where music was taught it included theory and history and tests.
We also have three classes a week, though, but only one is dedicated to history, and none of them feature theory.
Ahh, yeah, that makes sense. Personally, if I'd spend the time for a subject, I'd also want to get proper recognition for it... but perhaps it was just like maths D and computer science, that'd be okay too. (do note that 3 lessons for me is 3 times 75 minutes)
