"skiiing" --> I'm not in the Netherlands, on holidays in the Czech Republic at the moment. :P Last year it was -20 degrees here at this time, though that was the other end of the spectrum. :P
It was 19 degrees in the Netherlands today, my aunt told me. :P
normally we are in the high 30's low 40's fahrenheit this time of the year
I assume your talking fahrenheit otherwise you wouldnt complain about it being 20*C
Skiing! only water skiing around these parts.
Nope, I'm talking in degrees. 20-25 (68F-77F), peaking at about 30 degrees (86F) our average summer temperature in the UK. Just a few weeks ago it was snowing and hitting around -5 (23F), which it should still be doing until halfway through March.
I even have videos of me exactly 365 days ago dressed in 4 layers, mouth covered by my winter coat, head in a beanie and my hood up, with my fingers red from frostbite, a light amount of snow falling all around me, while I was running and skidding and subsequently slipping on ice. Compare to that to today, when I went outside in a T-Shirt and am beginning to tan.
And, also interesting to note, the record for hottest British winter day has been broken twice this week. It's Tuesday. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-47360952
