Profielwerkstuk. :) Had lots of trouble with getting started (along the way - I knew what to do and stuff, but I kept procrastinating and such), but finally finished it then. :D Got an 8.5 (out of 9.5, still max. 0.5 points to be gained from the presentation), so it was even quite good, I'd say. :D
Wait, only .5 points for the presentation? Did I understand that right? I think for us it was a third of the grade. I don't recall for sure, though, but it was certainly a lot more significant than yours. :P Although I guess as far as time spent goes, it does make sense...
Yes, only 0.5 for the presentation if you do it perfectly. I do understand that, because the presentation takes a couple of hours or so, while the rest takes ages. The only downside is that for many people this last 0.5 doesn't make a difference (including me), so they don't bother to do a particularly good job (I saw 4 presentations last year, they weren't as good as I'd expected by any means). :P
Right. If they are 1/3rd of the total grade, you'll try to make the most out of it. The presentations at our school are always great, and get good attendance (although of course still mostly friends and family), so they had better be.
That is true! I prefer it this way though, as I'm not that good at presentations, and probably wouldn't have got as high as I have now if 1/3rd was for the presentation. ;)
Heh, that's true, that applied to me too. :P I did enjoy designing the slides, though, but I assume that I would've done my best on those even if it didn't matter as much for the grade.
Here they also get good attendance, because people from the 5th year HAVE to go, and parents are invited too. Friends in the same year can't come generally, because they obviously have to do their own presentations at the same time. :P
Yup, I'm still going to be doing my best for the presentation, because it just feels the right thing to do (and it isn't that difficult to be honest, as you already have most of the text available anyways :P - I'm just not that good at presenting).
I can be good, but tend to get nervous. One tip: don't obscure the digiboard with your body. :$ I only found out nobody had been able to read the slides at 70% of my presentation.
