^ Lukas beat me to it. Anyways! When you get trophy points for things such as posting, reaching a certain amount of likes, etc, if you make it to a certain amount, it will give you the next rank. =)
But I can add a little reminder/memory: before Distinguished, Prominent, Elite, Esteemed and Legendary Member were added, 95% of the people posting on the forum had the same rank. :D In fact, I think around half of the active people had the maximum amount of trophy points, even. ;)
