Well Tomvan, The thread doesn't exist and common knowledge at this point that Reindeer themed Horse/ New Years Firework going to be released every year.
Yeah but I don't automatically think about that (perhaps because I don't do much for christmas and new years?), and new players can't know that unless others told them or they look at the wiki... A thread (or at least a post that is likely viewed) is made for, as far as I know, every promo that is released (unless I missed some because there was no thread :P),
so I wouldn't see why not for this promo - it allows for more "thanks again EMC staff and happy new year! :D"'s too, which is (in my opinion) nice.
And I'm not the only one who forgot, 607 above here also forgot, and Jelle also forgot. Those are probably the people I speak to most, so they can't have told me either. :P
It's pending. I won't ever get rid of a promo (unless it's meant to be ingame only) without announcing on the forums. Working on a yearly survey to go with. Next time, please use my private inbox for asking where something is. I saw this in between 18 other alerts.
Ah, that makes total sense! Retract the complaininglike nature of what I said then. :) I figured it would go with Comet, so was worried (and "lucky" as you hadn't removed it yet :D (I had already claimed Comet) I was missing out on the firework as I knew you planned to remove Comet last weekend.
Perhaps a quick status post, so those who realise its existence "too late" would have somewhere to see they shouldn't have to worry or perhaps casually mentioning in posts like the your profile post above about removing Comet that the firework is NOT yet being removed (not seldem they go together) would be nice, but I can also understand why you wouldn't do this.
About the inbox: yeah I know from past experience that you can miss such things, hence why I bumped it a couple of times. :P I'm still quite apprehensive on PMing (especially someone like [of] you[r status]), that's probably just how I am - I feel like I don't want to clutter your inbox with less important stuff... and more reasons that are close to hsrdwired in my head. :P
When I'm at work, alerts are sometimes haphazardly checked in between lunch break, etc. Pms are less cluttered and the best place for that reason, because I'm able to really handle them all together (and without character limits). =)
