Never admit that! =P depends on how long you've been together, but a small pendant necklace is generally a good idea if you are completely lost. From the eye of a female, we really just want to know that you put thought into the selection.
For example, if she has a favorite animal that isn't too specific, you could try to get a necklace with a pendant of that animal. Bonus points if you find matching earrings.
