Wait, finals for what?

its exams, its like there final tests

They're only in May, in the Netherlands. How can school end so early??

Nope, 'toetsweek', which translates to 'testweek'. ;) (sorry, I like criticising uses of 'literally'. :P)

Hmmm....... yeah, I agree, I could also not have used "literally"; in Dutch we (and many people at my school) call it "proefwerkweek", which does translate to "testweek" (proefwerk = test), but I've also done TTO (= many lessons in English rather than Dutch), and there we do actually literally call it "testweek". :)

The English has somewhat stuck with me, so I sometimes still call it testweek. ;) (so I did use "literally correctly! ;) )
