  1. Is there going to be a community meeting this weekend? I need to know whether I need to wake up early or not :p

  2. Yes there is. Big things to talk about this time.

  3. Big things as in good things or bad things...?

  4. I think good things.
Like establishment of bank robbers to rob the EMC bank.
Which also will do other things like: Stealing objects, prisoner transportation and robbing other things.
Foundation of Mercenary company. Provides mercenaries to get to kill the red ones (Or blue ones).

Also swarms of kangaroos to punch griefers.
How delicious a kangaroo meat is anyway?
  5. It's amazing, better than all the farmed meat.

Also, apparently I might not be able to make it to the meeting... :/

    I'll try though!

  9. No worries.

Basically nothing happened during the meeting.
Just with my good o' buddy Rain at the meeting hall.

  10. So, I'm acting on the previous discussion to connect the red line to the obsidian line. I merged the sandstone line with the unnamed black line that goes to Philo's tower(s) and made it a double track underground. The east beach station has been moved underground and that station can be used to connect with Philo's tower. I've just nearly completed a new graveyard station and started connecting the line to the obsidian line by utilizing an existing underground vault that follows the aboveground path. That vault had to be intended for a rail line?!? I'll send out some pix soon.

Also, Hiko_Bellick swung by and said hi while I was online. Welcome to the LLO Hiko!
  11. That development sounds great! :D
  12. How come when I proposed that idea almost a year ago everyone was condemning it but now when someone else brings it up everyone embraces the idea?!

Sorry to sound a bit impolite.

    P.S Welcome Hiko!

  13. I think time and general inactivity inside the LLO has made people a little less critical of stuff. If I was one of those that said it was a bad idea, I take it back. :)

  14. So, the red line is now indirectly connected to the obsidian line. (you have to transfer) Take the old sandstone line from the west beach red line station to the new east beach station, through the new graveyard station and on to the obsidian line. I rebuilt the station at the former terminus of the obsidian line to accommodate the new connection. Note the west beach station has been converted to a standard pause-n-go setup like most of the other stations.

I think we need to pick a name for this line. We could make it the obsidian line the whole way... Remember that the brown line connects to the other end at the new Little Toronto station, so we might want to pick one name for the whole thing? Thoughts?

Also, I forgot to mention that I spent a few days rebuilding Curundu's mob spawning tower that had been given a thrashing by endermen. All the ceilings have been made 2 blocks high throughout and that should prevent most of that kind of damage. Since spawn rates are so low, and for other reasons, it doesn't make sense as a grinder any more, so I removed the mob damage drop and added a lava blade and hoppers to pick up the resulting loot. There are bypass doors to let out enraged mobs that don't burn up. This way you can still use it as a source of diamonds with a little mano-a-mob combat.

  15. Pics of the new Graveyard Station:

Approaching from East Beach Station. Note use of indirect lighting. Iron grates in floor hide lighting beneath. I thought about setting off the tracks from the platform using half-slabs or different materials, but thought it would start looking too busy.

Detail on Graveyard side of station. White half-slabs (well full slabs here) pick up detail on surface above. I wish EMC was on a later build of Minecraft so I could craft mossy brick. No, there are no secret passages here. The crypt in the graveyard is pretty far away.

...and detail across from that. (obverse?) There are going to be reeds behind those iron bars.

Stairs up to surface. The ones at the other end are a mirror image. These could really be another material to make them pop a bit more, but whatever.

These are the entrances above that frame/bookend the front of the cemetery. I can't decide what roof to use. I'm thinking that simple glass might be fine since the next obsidian line station uses that.
  16. Oh, a note to Shavingfoam:

Grand Central is horribly laggy. It always was, but with 1.8, it has gotten pretty bad, at least on my machine. In an attempt to reduce the entity count I went into your sheep breeding pens (not the farms, the other ones near Grand Central) and killed all but a breeding pair of each color. Ideally we could move these a bit farther away from such a trafficked area? This seemed to help a bit, but much of the problem seems to be all the glass used in all the rail tunnels etc. There isn't much we can or want to do about that.

Other areas of The LLO that offer better occlusion to the new culling code seem to run just fine.

  17. Wasn't that my idea?

  19. Nice the swords are still standing after being up for almost year & half now. Also nice addition to the rail system and other thing you have my permission to Fix/Alter my Graveyard built and farms that came with it if want just like Shavingfoam. From your builds you've done I believe they would be in good hands. :D

  20. Awesome, thanks! Also, those swords were looking pretty shabby but I fexed them. I suspect enderman damage, not griefing. The LLO seems to suffer a ton of enderman damage because there are people online in the area fairly frequently. I wish they weren't such a nuisance.

So Dwight, are you still building anywhere, or are you just moderating now?
