Will Server Ever Get To 1.8?

  8. and actually, Spigot is now up to 180+ patches on top of CraftBukkit, and EMC is up to 70+ patches on top of Spigot.

    So, decent amount of work on top of CraftBukkit, but usually only takes me 1-5 hours to update.

  9. Well, I don't see it happening any time soon. It is likely that all these legal DMCA issues will not be resolved for a while... And think this is all because of that guy who started the minecraft server EULA drama...

    If that never happened the old bukkit staff would not be mad about 1.8 and the EULA enforcement.

  11. Yea, But Not All Server and when Bukkit comes out we will still have to wait a few months because Aikar has to updated all the others things like the customs mobs

Well Aikar, The Things I love about this server is you really do try to update and keep making the server better, all the other survival server I have gone on always never update because the Dev. are "Doing things" . One of the servers I have gone on is still only 1.6. Lol. And this server has so much more to it! Well, When ever you know, can you please give us the range when the server will be 1.8. No rush.

  17. Just an update: I was watching the live stream of death-thing and Aikar mentioned supporting 1.8 clients while still being a 1.7 server. He said hopefully tonight that will happen.

  18. No. Empire Minecraft will never reach 1.8, not in a million years.

    Of course it will go 1.8, what on earth made you even think that it will not update to 1.8?

  20. So there was some controversy with one of the Bukkit devs trying to shut down bukkit. Dinnerbone jumped in and retook control of Bukkit, and evilseph lost all control to the bukkit assets. Mojang is going to be continuing development of bukkit as it has been their subsidy since they acquired a couple of the bukkit devs. Dinnerbone is personally working on 1.8 bukkit to get it out for us.. https://storify.com/lukegb/the-tale-of-bukkit-for-minecraft-1-8
