  1. Also Aikar could you make one of the diamond pets a green villager? I'm looking forward to getting diamond when the new features come out and I would love a green villager pet!

  2. I knew someone was going to eventually reply with this.
  3. And I don't recall or at least remember a bug report on it :p

All Contributor Members and Staff have ability to file bugs on Track - So pm'ing any of them can get issues on Track so I'm aware to fix them.

  4. I believe green villagers are no more in 1.8.

  6. Dang, is it possible to bats into pets? And if so will marlix be a pet? I think this would be super cool.

  8. Not on the EULA I agreed to.

  9. They could make these new terms retroactive, and regardless if this server stays on 1.7.9 or not, they'd still be stuck with the changes. Blocking TNT across the board is also restricting vanilla gameplay, since TNT is part of Vanilla, and this decision is something I don't agree with.
  10. TNT is also the most resource hungry entity in the minecraft arsenal. I have crashed enough servers with it to know.. Restricting TNT is a way to keep the resources from being drained in a server. If you don't believe me, worldedit a googol of TNT into a world and lite it, and see how long it takes before your client crashes.. o3o
  11. You're allowed to block vanilla mechanics, you just cant then charge to re-enable it.
If TNT being blocked bothers you, I encourage you to complain to mojang to re-implement TNT to not destroy servers.

  12. I've probably spawned enough TNT on the servers during my old Death Events to stress test them quite a bit. I can safely assume that allowing players access to it likely won't do much damage. Even in our early EMC days before we even had more than 4 servers, we'd do some pretty hefty TNT "events" without causing much of an issue on the servers and I can only assume they've upgraded since then.

There were definitely times where the number of TNT spawned was more than any regular person could realistically setup on their own unless they were plotting some massive takeover over months and months of time, lol.

  13. And I had to restart those servers to reduce the memory used and unfree them from lag.
Also, most of those TNT events were when we used NoLagg, which is no longer usable.

  14. Sometimes yeah, but lots of times they were just fine. Not sure if we had NoLagg during the early days or not though. Either way, just trying to give some thoughts for those that would like to use TNT. Even on servers where they don't block it, I think it's probably rare to find someone that would be willing to do all that work for one possible system crash, and there are logs for those that would abuse it which could offer punishment for.

Perhaps make it a general rule to not allow the use of more than "x' TNT at any given point.

  15. Grievers would probably skip this rule, there should be a notice that sends to the system to tell when a player is using too many tnt at once.

  16. No offense, but those are some of the worst ideas I have ever heard.
Almost every player would quit because they wouldn't be able to get promos except for a ridiculous price. And then to add on to it, official drop parties by staff would only be on utopia, which might motivate some people to donate, but most regular members will just get fed up and leave.
If that happens, I will leave EMC forever.
    Part 2

So basically Mojang is trying to segregate us like the blacks and whites in the USA in the 1960's? Because that's exactly what it is.
  17. This being said, I have a residence on Utopia but I am no longer a paying supporter, Does this mean I lose access to my residence up there? There are many many former supporters who have residences up in Utopia. Shouldn't it be a lifetime guarantee for your access to Utopia Town once paid for a supportership to have a residence claimed there? This Mojang stuff has been giving me a headache. If this is not possible. I do not blame you at all. Mojang being dumb again.

  18. Yeah, sure that'd for sure be do-able. There are already placement logs for most things anyways. It's better, I think, to put in measure to catch abusers and punish them, than to simply block things from the general massive good.
  19. Just force the rule to be implemented - "you can't place X TNT in under Y minutes".

  20. If we do this can have a skely horse i always wanted one =P
