?

Should this be implemented?

Yes 6 vote(s) 17.6%
No (Explain) 28 vote(s) 82.4%
  1. I voted no and gave a reason already, you do not need to tell me to vote no. I am fully capable of knowing that myself :)

  2. It wouldn't be nearly as taxing as several other features implemented here.
If I'm not mistaken, such a system has already been implemented and is functioning quite well. Programmatically altering the weather isn't that difficult; world.setStorm(true) makes it rain, respecting the various biomes, and likewise world.setStorm(false) brings out the sun.
  3. Optifine installs itself
  4. Well, when this would be implemented, not many people would mind it, because it is clear the majority would vote no :p I would not like to have to vote no though, then no should be default
  5. It is technically possible for the server to turn off the weather for your client only. Just an FYI there.
  6. "OMG WHY DID A LIGHTNING BOLT JUST HIT ME"

But overall, I don't think this is a good idea as it would remove a survival element of the game (altering light levels for spawning, lightning bolts, etc).

I recommend as others said to use Optifine.

  7. Wait it rains in town? :/
  8. It doesn't rain in town. That's the joke :p
  9. Seriously! Never knew that. I should pay more attention to the weather :p

  10. Did you know you don't have to eat in town? ;)
  11. I figured that one out but I never noticed the weather before. It is one of those things that you just don't think about :p
