One thing I noticed while fighting the Marlix in the daytime: the skeletons he summons still run for the shade under the trees, even though they take no damage from fire.
1/2/3 - Well, there are other things added like endermen that would steal things from people and new mobs here and there as well as when Mojang used to do "secret Fridays" where they would add things without telling people and let people have fun finding them. Also, we're talking about multiplayer servers here where we have to deal with a large number of people, so going to peaceful isn't an option in this scenario. 4 - We've given a lot of hints and warnings that going to Normal mode is going to make EMC more difficult. and we wanted to do something fun by letting the community be surprised instead of spoiling things for everyone. For the most part, I tend to ignore all the snapshots (well used to before I NEEDED to know what was in it for the sake of EMC), so the game was more fun. What we did here was pretty much what happens with snapshots though. The community plays them and they fill up the Minecraft Wiki and post videos about what's coming out...not Mojang. We tried to do something we thought would be fun for everyone to find on their own so it was a surprise for people. I'm sorry that you didn't enjoy it, though.
I found Marlix found me the first time I went into wild today and he made me so angry flying in the middle of a gigantic body of water so i gave up .
I just realized: The letters in Marlix can be rearranged to spell Miralax, if you add an "a". That's a coincidence.... Right?
This pretty much sums up how I feel about this update. I periodically make trips out to the Pazzo empire to check on things. I'd rather not be worried about being run down by OPed mobs that I stay in town for ever. Please just leave the changes in the wasteland.
You're able to run away from all the mobs just as you are any of the ones that were there before. It's simply a new variety of mob that, IF you choose to fight it, will get you some more fun loot.

I noticed endermen do not get damaged or despawn in the daytime in sun but teleport away if someone tries to approach them. Is this a bug or supposed to happen? Also I happened to find 2 burning zombies and a enraged skeleton. Does that mean a boss is likely to be around? I also heard a sound that sounded like a somewhat demented zombie noise spammed and gets louder.
Endermen make noise since a certain update but also Marlix makes noises. I haven't encountered anyone else :/
everyone complaining about the new mobs is being silly.first off they wont spawn in non spawnable spaces from what i can tell so if you have a town or whatever it should be slabbed/ well lit anyways. secondly it isnt even remotely common. to put it in perspective, i have been looking ALL DAY for one of the bosses i cant even find netherhounds much less the two bosses. and even if i did and i wasnt prepared i could literally run away and be just fine. people need to quit griping about what could happen
