Well, as I now become a Well-Known Member (thank you, mba2012!), I look at my profile and see that the EMC social media is missing one thing: The Almighty Friend. Now I do realize that EMC social media and forums is kinda based off Twitter, where there are "Followers" not "Friends". But followers are the people who just click a button because you are famous/funny/friendly. But friends are the ones who really accept you.
My point?
1. A friends list, where all your EMC friends are.
2. A friend request, where they have the decision to accept/deny, unlike following.
Friends would also be alerted if you made a new thread or you got a certain number of likes (implying that that post was funny/helpful/just plain good.)

Their should be a vote option for GREAT idea

For what do we need that for? I'd not add friends because I think this would just overload my alerts.

If you accept someone as your "Friend",but then reject another, you'd be showing favoritisim, which is NEVER good to show

To not be off topic, wouldnt it be even better if a friend list was implemented inside the game :O? so when you friend enter on any server you will know :O? And with that a friend chat channel can be made :O to talk amongst your friends :O. I know what your thinking, you might get confused if someones not talking to you but so what :O it be cool

Favoritism would be "I want to be friends with ICC. But not Aikar. I have to accept his request though. I guess I could just never talk to Aikar."
Definition of favoritism:
The practice of giving unfair preferential treatment to one person or group at the expense of another.

Unless you told them, there really wouldn't be a way to prove this.
