Get a crested gecko! No UVB which a bearded needs. No heat requirement which a bearded needs. No cricket eating which a bearded needs. Much easier and cooler animal (IMO)
Thinking back on it a Crested Gecko would have been a better choice. I was going for easy to care for and i had been reading up on Beardies for literally a year, i loved the way they looked and how they had....well...beards. My baby sister having RSVP for a while. I was told i could have one when her RSVP went away, and that was just what i chose At some point when i get older and have the time to properly care and house one. I would love to get an Iguana. It would be pretty neat to have a 6 foot lizard i could walk like a dog Only problem is they are really....REALLY expensive (And dangerous if not raised properly)
In addition, extremely tasty and said to function as a potent aphrodisiac when consumed by men and women. (This is all information from my wife. I have yet to have the pleasure of consuming an Iguana, but I spent many weeks hunting them in Honduras... They are extremely prominent, almost to the point of nuisance.)
Well then ._. You Learn something new every day. (Edit) I could never hunt any reptile unless it was like a croc or something large, and even then. I just like reptiles too much to kill them. I'm the guy who stops the car and helps the turtle across the road XD (I actually have 2 turtles that i have saved from the side of the road. One is like, from south america )

This is Dotty, she's a 2 year old kitty, worlds cuddliest thing. This is Hercules, We're not sure of his age but he's the worlds heaviest (And strongest cat), but considering that he's also the worlds most placid cat - you can hold him upside and jump up and down and he won't care. And finally, this is Melly, She's about 15 - I have a surprising lack of decent photo's so this one will have to do of her, As the photo does not show she's quite an aggressive cat and unlike the other two you don't mess with her unless you like looking like a claw mark.
