Flying Machine Elevator

I'm trying to create a flying machine elevator for my build. I followed the directions from a youtube video. However, it doesn't work. It was then I noticed that it was for 1.16. There must have been a change on how redstone works between that version and today's version. I would like someone to look at my elevator and see what's wrong. I'll even grant permission to change it as you see fit.

My build is on smpu wild ne just south of the outpost. It's the 2x3 hole in the building.

I don't see anything specific that should have changed since 1.16.
Maybe during the weekend I manage to build a copy on my residence and test around a bit.

No prob. No hurry. I'll also be needing help with a 5 wide, 2 high hipster door later on (which I have not built).

does it keep saying that it was cool before you were?

A hipster door is a door that drops into the floor. A seamless one is one that when open or closed, it doesnt look like a door. It's mostly used for secret doors.

If I remember, pistons can't push observers on EMC, hence flying machines don't work.

That's a pain. I need an elevator to go from y=73 to y=40. It must also be 2x3.

There were no major changes affecting flying machines after 1.16. Flying machines do work on EMC both in town and in the wild. I suspect the reason your flying machine isn't working (assuming it's built correctly) is the block protection in the frontier. Try building in /noprotectmode and see if the flying machine works then. Also, you might want to consider slime block elevators as those are generally less finicky and more reliable.

it may also becouse depending on the elevator emc does mot like slime based flying macines so u use some of block heads disigns but emc is normaly not that accurate with tons of fast spesific piston updates
emc farms redstone always build it as simple as possible

I don't want an overly complicated one. I just need on to be 2x3 for going up and down. I have no idea how to design one myself.
