A face Palm moments

Hi everybody nuttyknight42 here, I recently had a face palm moment.

I started building a storage system I got as far as connecting the output to a Temporary block and noticed that the redstone was facing backward. I was so confused until I look back at the tutorial and realize my mistake.

So tell me what are some of your face palm moments, hope to hear from you!

Here another one, I was building a sheep farm when I was try make it work better. I broke too many blocks and had to use wheat to put them back in the farm.

Every build, there will come the 1 block off moment. Every. Time. I am always somewhere on something 1 block off on my count. Apparently I can't count blocks

And you wonder why I or corrupted (if not both by miscommunication accident) trail you placing blocks and recount them. xD It's noticeable copying schemas when there's a block off, cause things don't align properly....

And on that note: I did build a panel wrong in Scream for Me.. that panel, every time I copied it, I built it wrong and had to restart halfway through. I don't recall which.
And also a schematica one: Walking off a block that doesn't exist because it looks like it does exist. Even more so when you fall a fatal fall. (Done that one way too many times) And cherry on top if it's extremely hard to get back up to.
(it's hilarious when a ghast shoots you and you think you have a place to gracefully catch yourself and instead splat below when you would've been fine had you not tried to catch yourself.)

Don't ask me why I'm the schematica one, but yeah, you'll hear me scream every now and again when I'm copying a design and mess up in the most annoying ways.

I built an AFK fishing farm with an auto-sorter. When building, I forgot to check the hoppers before I began using it. After about an hour of AFK fishing, I find that almost all of the drops were trapped in a hopper, facing away from the rest. Essentially, all the items in the past hour, if they did not go through the hoppers, they stayed on top of the first hopper where I was and de-spawned.

I found out that it was a single hopper, facing the wrong way, that caused all the issue. (Not to mention the mess with all of it's contents spilling out when I broke it to re-align it...)

Helping a friend build something on their res and accidentally made a cobble monstrosity from the build limit to bedrock with lava and water. That took a while to clear.

(reminds me of our "friend" who's been doing that deliberately in the waste and frontier )

Spending a few hours going waaaaay our into the wild to find a place to establish an outpost, only to be met with a border and realize I used /waste not /wild 😅

Haha, that made me laugh! It seems unlikely, though. Unless you're going very slow, it shouldn't take more than an hour to get to the border of the Wastelands, assuming you are starting from the centre (if you start from one of the other outposts it won't take as long, of course, assuming you use F3 to check if you're going the right way ).

Yea I was exploring a lot along the way, bumped into some villages and ravines hehe 😅

Going off a post from khixan that I've already quoted, I'll not do it again....

When you mess up 1 block on a statue and don't really get where it is until an hour into the build and you have to restart pretty much all over again.
Gosh that was horrible...
Eh, it turned out great in the end! (it's in singleplayer though)

(I was following a tutorial yet managed to miscount...)

I put two pickaxes together to make a new better one and then I threw it in a lava pool!
