Bad news everyone Tropical Storm Nate is on a direct path to us http://www.nola.com/hurricane/index...storm_nate_sewerage_w.html#incart_river_index
Thanks, I'm only worried because when we received rough storms from Harvey and Irma the pumping stations down here failed and parts of the city flooded. Not all of the pumps are repaired, however I live in Uptown and it looks like we should be safe
Already been a year.....time goes by so fast - talked to someone I know a few days ago and they literally just finished renovating their house a few weeks ago. #HoustonStrong
No damn way that hurricane was a year ago! It feels like it was 4 months ago!! I'm glad all those affected are getting their lives back
Hawaii seems to have been lucky enough to not get the full force of theirs but heavy rain on mountains isn't a good thing. Let's hope they're all ok.
I belive the J.J. Watt foundation *will have to find a link* was said the other day to have been the largest crowd funded fundraiser "thing" in the world's history! Haha! found the link! http://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/...lief-largest-crowd-sourced-fundraiser-history
it has been a year but the pain and devistation of the hurricane will take more time to stop being a severe i personally lost a good friend in the storm and it was the worst time of my life i hope everybody in houston is getting back on track with the houses and stuff and i hope it all works out well for y'all
Puerto Rico is still recovering from Hurricane Maria and we have yet to hear a confirmed death toll. just so you know.
Remember California too. The forest fires there have left hundreds of people missing/dead and millions of acres burned to the ground. #prayers
Hello my friends, I wanted bump this old thread because the links/numbers in the OP are extremely handy for ANYONE living in the Houston area. If you are stuck somewhere, or need help of any kind and live in the HOUSTON AREA, please don't hesitate to send me a PM here - I will be checking often. You can also hit me up on discord and I will send you my phone number. Imelda has turned out to be quite a mean lady, please be safe Houstonians.
Wishing the best towards those battling Imelda right now. My family is safe so far, but I know quite a few friends are flooded in. Stay safe y'all!
