  1. Oh haha, yeah now I see what I did. Yeaaah we were supposed to chat about things like websites lol, k let’s call for a redo.

So... I’ll let someone else talk about YouTube, it’s pretty easy to talk about what makes it so amazing. Instead, let me point you in the direction of a resource you may have heard of, being wolframalpha.com (not referring to wolfram.com cause that’s not the one that answers the questions). You remember in middle or high school when you had that 1 physics question you didn’t know the answer to? Well chances are you googled the question and got a link to a Wolfram Alpha page that had the answer. Wolfram Alpha is a website that answers various questions. It has answers to various math, science and tech questions. But you probably didn’t know it answers much more than that. It can answer questions about games, language, movies and plenty other topics. I think it’s amazing that the website can answer a variety of questions people may be wondering out.

  2. An easier-to-use Google. I remember the days when Google had no "autocomplete" dropdown box, and you actually had to know how to use Google's search engine to search for things on the internet. Advanced search anyone? I grew up with that at the age of 7 years old.

  3. Thanks, that's interesting! I recall a teacher lead me to that website before when I was trying to find the answer to a complex mathematical equation. I don't remember what the equation was for, though...
but I hadn't checked out more of the website, and definitely didn't know it had so much possibilities!
I clicked 'Surprise Me' for about a dozen times and was quite impressed. I hope I'll remember this website for when I might have a use for it! :)

  4. There are more YouTube videos I really appreciate. This is a couple of videos that are covers of Mother songs, but with lyrics. They're beautiful, and very motivating to me, I hope they will be to you as well. :)

  5. I feel like I love the internet too much but I guess here are a few things I appreciate:

I appreciate wikipedia which has sucked hours of my life away, sparknotes for saving me in nearly every English class. I appreciate youtube for showing me that the world was much more full of kindness and love than what I had in the confines of my high school walls. The Internet has been profound and I do not think we can appreciate it enough. I also, high key appreciated the Facebook-messenger because before I had a decent phone and was on a pre-paid plan, messenger was like the only way to communicate for me an my friends.

The internet is amazing, also because of like idk, one word- memes.
Memes are love, Memes are life.

  6. I know Wikipedia, but could you tell me more about Sparknotes? :)
  7. Wiktionary. I use it when I need to look up definitions or usage of English words, I use it when I want to know specifics or declensions of Latin words, and I use the Dutch version a lot to look up more precise meanings of Dutch words, or strong verbs that are becoming or have become weak.
It's very reliable! The English version seems quite complete too. I can even look up Dutch words on it, if I want to (but it makes more sense to use the Dutch version :p).

  8. I kept thinking of posting here at unsuitable times. :p
But then again, I wanted to share Pollyanna and Bein' Friends, but I see now I already remembered to do so before. :p But nobody commented on them... :/

Remember Line Rider? I appreciate that new versions are still being made.
https://www.linerider.com/ I haven't used this myself, as it's been long since I made tracks. But this one's really good, you can scrub through playback, and it will even update live, as you change the track!! That's quite amazing, I hadn't ever expected that. This makes the trial and error a lot less tedious, but I think that's good, as Line Rider isn't a game, it's an art tool. And something crazy like This Will Destroy You, which I shared on the previous page, wouldn't be practically possible with the original Line Rider.
  9. SST: StreamingSoundtracks.com
I recently found this website again, after not being able to find it when I looked for it earlier. If you want to hear my personal story, check this topic.
    But here's a general review.
SST is legally a radio station. It features soundtracks from movies and video games (only ones that have got an official cd release, though). There are 4 other stations managed by the same person, as well: one for 80's music, one for death metal (be warned, there's lots of 'bad' stuff on there), one for, um... relaxing music, and one for classical music. They all work in the same way, and SST is probably the most popular one, and the one I use, so I'm talking about that. But if you're interested in either of the other things instead: the links are on the top bar at SST!
The twist: you can request what songs to play. On SST, most requested songs are requested by actual people, at least as long as I'm around. The queue can't ever get under 1 hour, though, as otherwise it turns from a radio station into an on-demand streaming service. Because of this, whenever it does, a track gets selected by the system and added into the queue.
If you're a regular member, you can only request a track once every hour, and during busy times, 3 hours. If you're a VIP, this becomes 5 minutes and 30 minutes, respectively. I don't know how expensive it is to become a VIP, as someone gifted me VIP before I could check. :p It only lasts a month, though, so I'll get to know after that. I wonder if I'll want to buy it myself, as it is fun to request multiple songs, sometimes!
To help ensure variety, each track can only be played again after 15 days have been passed.
Some extra features: rating and reviewing of albums, favourite albums and tracks, a forum, and a fairly active chatbox (on SST it's active, at least).
So yeah: I'd recommend this, if you like listening to music but can't always decide what to listen to! :)
